BOMBER'S DREAM: Film Screening & Panel Discussion
Theme: Who Cares About Legacy?
June 27, 2026 | Trinidad & Tobago
Doors Open: 6:30 PM | Screening Begins: 7:00 PM

Join Kaiso Street Society in collaboration with Soundline and Culture Daze for the Trinidad premiere of Bomber's Dream, a new documentary exploring the life, music, and enduring impact of Calypso icon Clifton Ryan, better known as The Mighty Bomber.

Filmed across Trinidad and Toronto, the 28-minute documentary traces Bomber's journey from Grenada to Trinidad and onto the international stage, where he became a Calypso King, cultural ambassador, and powerful voice of social commentary. Through rare archival footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments from the creation of the companion album Bomber's Dream: The Music of The Mighty Bomber, the film explores how culture, memory, and music are passed from one generation to the next.

Following the screening, audiences are invited to participate in "Who Cares About Legacy?" — a listening-led panel discussion on preserving calypso, honoring ancestors, and examining how legacy shapes future generations. Together, artists, cultural leaders, and community members will reflect on the responsibility of carrying traditions forward in a rapidly changing world.

Whether you're a lover of calypso, Caribbean history, or stories of cultural resilience, Bomber's Dream offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the past while imagining the future.

Event Includes:
• Screening of Bomber's Dream (28 minutes)
• Panel Discussion: Who Cares About Legacy?
• Audience Q&A
• Cultural networking and community gathering
