NAPA Carpark

Description

Come experience 'Kambule' the story of the 1881 Canboulay Riots written and directed by Eintou Pearl Springer.

Performances take place at the north-eastern end of the NAPA car park, Port of Spain according to safe zone regulations.

Over the years, Kambule has become one of the signature events, taking place on Carnival Friday morning on Piccadilly Greens. Through this important ritual and theatrical intervention we have seen a resurgence of interest in what the story of the 1881 Canboulay Riots means, not just to Trinbagonians but for people all over the world who have at some time struggled for freedom and self-determination.

Join us as we pay homage to the Spirit of T&T Carnival!
