Music Beyond Borders

Music Beyond Borders is a celebration of the extraordinary power of music to transcend boundaries, connect cultures, and create life-changing opportunities.

This special fundraising recital supports Trinidad and Tobago double bassist Mark Haynes as he embarks on the next stage of his musical journey—pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the prestigious Frost School of Music, University of Miami, beginning in August 2026.

Unlike a traditional orchestral performance, Music Beyond Borders offers an intimate concert experience. Audience members will be seated just steps away from the orchestra, immersed in the music rather than watching from a distance. While concertgoers are typically seated far from the performers, this unique setting removes the barrier between audience and ensemble, allowing every note, phrase, and emotion to be experienced up close. The goal is not simply for you to hear the music, but to truly feel it—to let every performance resonate within your soul and create a powerful connection between the musicians and the audience.

The evening will feature inspiring performances by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago, along with special guest artists, showcasing the remarkable talent that Trinidad and Tobago has to offer.
