Voices in Praise – Steel & Song

Trinidad & Tobago-born steelpan soloist, composer and musical innovator Savion Nicholls is set to introduce audiences to a new dimension of his artistry when he takes centre stage at Voices in Praise – Steel & Song, presented in collaboration with Bravura Arts and Lydian Steel at the Central Bank Auditorium. 

The two-night production, scheduled for Saturday October 17 at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 18 at 6:30 p.m., brings together steelpan, classical voice, piano and inspirational music in a celebration of performances of praise showcasing musical excellence and Caribbean creativity. 

For Savion, however, the performances represent more than another concert appearance. They provide a platform for the official launch of his artistic identity as a composer, arranger, conductor, panist and contemporary musical innovator. We can look forward to versatile arrangements and performances for pan and voice of Amazing Grace, God and God Alone, God is Great (John Jacob) Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and the Hallelujah Chorus among many other favourites.
