The Kitchener Legacy

April 18th 2026 - On what would have been his 104th birthday, the indelible legacy of Lord Kitchener one of Calypso's greatest, and most influential icons will be honored with a special tribute concert featuring performances by some of his proteges and musical descendants led by is son Kernal Roberts.

Schedule for NAPA, the concert is entitled THE KITCHENER LEGACY. This commemorative concert will celebrate the life, music, and culture impact of Lord Kitchener, whose compositions helped shaped the golden era of Calypso and defined the Trinidad and Tobago's musical identity on the world stage. From the witty social commentary, the infectious melodies, and unforgettable storytelling, Kitchener's work remain timeless and deeply relevant.

This concert will be more than a performance, It will be a celebration of a master teacher, a cultural giant, and a national treasure said the event producer, his son Kernal Roberts further said Lord Kitchener's music taught us how to think, laugh, dance and reflect. Honoring him on his birthday through the voices of those he inspired is both fitting and appropriate.
