Description
My name is Ta’zyah O’Connor and I am the 2018 Junior Calypso Monarch and the reigning National Calypso Monarch of Trinidad and Tobago 2023. I am a young entrepreneur , musician and arguably the youngest Calypso monarch. I have been producing concerts since the age of 17 when I had my first show alongside my band STEEM at cafe blues and then pushing the bar further by putting on two shows at Queens hall during the pandemic. After winning the Calypso monarch in February of 2023, I wasted no time in putting together a masterful show, titling it "THE RUBICON". The Rubicon name means having the ability to go off-road with confidence. The name Rubicon obviously refers to the gesture of Caesar who decided to go for it and not look back, but also to that road that can only be crossed by a handful. This event would encapsulate my love for music not only local but international all while putting on a show that is out of this world. 'THE RUBICON' would not only be Featuring influential persons that have impacted my life musically but other young persons like myself who deserve a platform to showcase their talent. This event will be held at Queens hall on Sunday 23rd on April,2023
